Halloween brings out a lot of creativity in children and their parents. Last week we spent an hour spreading the net on the bushes and hanging spiders, picking what to wear and decorating the mantel. In addition to all that I could not wait to make our fun and easy project.

Below you will find a tutorial on how to assemble this beauty. You will need:

  • ping-pong balls
  • sharp knife
  • tea light candles
  • acrylic all surface paints

Step 1: Take a ping pong ball and cut a criss-cross hole in it. I would not let small kids handle it but the rest of the work they can do independently. Do not make a cut too wide so it can fit without a jiggle.

Step 2:┬áPlace a ball on the candle light. Now you’ve got a body and a head of a future scary thing.

Step 3: Paint a scary or funny face on it.

Have fun!
